I know this might be a bit controversial, but I love last-minute bookings. Some people find them stressful, but for me, they bring excitement, challenge and opportunity. Let me tell you why.

One of the biggest challenges of last-minute bookings is dealing with conflicting schedules. If you already have commitments lined up or a packed day, it’s not always possible to fit a last-minute client in. This can result in missed opportunities or needing to decline clients, which can feel frustrating for me.

2. Higher Stress Levels

The rush of last-minute bookings might be thrilling, but it can also be stressful. There’s no time to waste, and every moment counts. For some, this constant pressure to deliver quickly might become overwhelming, especially if they’re juggling multiple bookings at once or if the client has high expectations.

3. Limited Prep Time

When a booking comes in last minute, there’s usually little to no time to prepare. This can mean scrambling for the right products or tools, and in some cases, not being able to give the client the full attention they deserve. As a perfectionist, this can sometimes be a challenge, as I pride myself on having everything organised and ready to go.
