Get to know me

Hi! I'm so glad you're here. I'm Inez, and I’ve got a bit of a story to share.

It all started back in 2016 when I was selling makeup brushes online in Indonesia. Funny thing is, I didn’t even know how to use them! That sparked my curiosity, and before I knew it, I was teaching myself makeup and even learning hair styling. What started as a side hustle turned into bookings, friendships, and a full-blown career. Some of my customers became lifelong friends, and it’s been an amazing ride ever since.

I’ve always been a people person. With a communication degree and a naturally bubbly personality, I’ve worked in client-facing roles my whole life. From digital marketing to hospitality, I’ve done it all – account management, meetings, problem-solving, you name it. But no matter what I did, it was always about connecting with people and making them feel valued.

When I moved to Australia in 2023, I thought my makeup journey was over. I loved my job working with charities and felt fulfilled knowing I was making an impact. I even sold most of my makeup, thinking I was done for good. My parents and partner encouraged me to keep at it, but I brushed it off, thinking the InezVmakeup era was over.

Turns out, I was wrong. In 2024, I decided to take the leap and dive back into makeup. Leaving my stable job wasn’t easy. Rebuilding my makeup kit, creating a website, and stepping into the world of content creation has been a crazy adventure. Huge shoutout to my partner, who’s been my biggest cheerleader (and gifted me a camera to get started!). I’m still figuring things out, but I’m giving it my all.

Today 16 January 2025 is my second day building my makeup business full-time, but I’m so excited about what’s ahead. With six years of experience behind me, I’m ready to embrace Sydney’s incredible diversity, especially here in Parramatta. Inclusivity is super important to me, and one of my dreams is to see my work in an ad. If you’re looking for an inclusive Sydney makeup artist and hairstylist, I’m your gal!
