Project Pan (FINALLY)

I thought I would be doing no buy, but I have been VERY NAUGHTY to a point where i feel sick of my own shopping

I had this vision of being a mindful makeup artist who bought only what I needed, saved money, and avoided the endless “must-have” cycle. Yeah… no. I was so wrong.

But today, 27 October 2025, is officially my LAST shopping day. I now have everything I need—and everything I wanted.

For a long time, I felt like I was never enough and never had enough. After finishing clients, I would feel like I didn’t perform at my best. My ADHD didn’t help—I literally forgot half the products I already owned. I consumed way too much social media, fell into comparison and consumerism, and justified every purchase with “but it’s for work.” And honestly? It sucks. I felt ashamed and guilty, especially when my partner has been nothing but supportive while I kept bringing home more and more things I didn’t need.

The truth is: with everything I have now, I could do a no-buy for TWO YEARS and still be fully stocked. So that is exactly what I’m committing to. I’m writing this publicly as accountability to myself and to whoever reads it.

To be fair, I did save a lot by not paying full price—and I was also gifted 70 lip liners and 50 lipsticks from a fellow MUA, which is a huge blessing. But still…

  • I bought too many foundations and blushes, when all I really needed were adjusters.

  • I bought too many primers, when good K-beauty skin prep was enough.

  • I bought too many hair products, and only use a handful.

At the same time, every single “dream item” on my wishlist is now in my kit:

✔️ Natasha Denona “I Need a Nude” palette
✔️ Danessa Myricks for oily-skin prep
✔️ Dr. Jart for redness and rosacea clients
✔️ Hourglass palette (my one and only—the Lotus)
✔️ Rom&nd soft tones for fair clients
✔️ Skindinavia Bridal Spray
✔️ Morphe brush set

So now, it stops. No more buying. No more backups. No more “but maybe I need…” I have everything. It’s time to FOCUS on clients, make art, improve my skills, and use what I already own.

This is a real commitment:
✅ No buy.
✅ Use what I own.
✅ Finish products.
✅ Stop the “collecting” mindset.
✅ Focus on the art, not the haul.

I have great bookings ahead (thank God), which means these products will finally get used, loved, and finished—not wasted, not expired.

I have everything I need. So now…it’s time to work, create, and shopping for knowledge.
